Bonu's story

Bonu is a 26-year-old young woman from the Temurmalik district. She is married and lives together with her three children and husband. Bonu is a craftswoman skilled in sewing and embroidery. She has been doing Tajik embroidery for six years. Craftswomen do these types of embroidery on fabric and sew dresses and pillowcases.

The national holiday Eid al-Adha will soon be here, and many women and young women will have this type of embroidery sewn. For this reason, Bonu wants to use loan funds to buy threads, fabric, and sewing supplies in order to do embroidery and make a profit.
