A loan helped to purchase livestock to increase the livestock herd.

Askarbek's story

Askarbek says hello to Kiva lenders from Osh. He is 70 years old, married and a father of 10 children. He has a secondary school education. He is a calm, responsible and hardworking man by nature.
He lives in a mountain district with broad pastures that is ideally suited to herding livestock. Askarbek has been farming since 1979, and he now has 4 cows and 50 sheep.
In order to further develop his farm, he is requesting support from Kiva in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) for the purchase of livestock with the aim of increasing his livestock herd. The revenue will help improve his family's standard of living.
