A loan helped to buy cacao plants, as well as organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve her production.

Dolores Barbarita's story

Dolores Barbarita is 50 years old. She is single and has an adult daughter. They live in the Chone canton, a quintessentially agricultural area of hard-working people who do farming work and raise animals.

She is a hard-working woman who seeks a way to earn her resources and, with them, get ahead along with her family. In spite of the fact that life in the country is very difficult because of the lack of basic services such as education, medicine, and other things, she strives so that her family doesn't lack for the necessities. She works in agriculture. She has several hectares with plantings of cacao. She wants to plant more cacao, and she needs the loan to do this. She uses natural irrigation systems, as well as organic fertilizers and insecticides, with which she tries to protect the environment while still obtaining very good harvests.

This loan is to buy cacao plants, as well as organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve her production.
