A loan helped to buy clothes for her home-based clothing business.

Arwa's story

Arwa, a Jordanian woman in her early forties and the mother of six children, is married to military man. Her kids are growing bigger, and the family’s demands are constantly increasing each month with higher financial liabilities.

Due to the lack of financial sources aside from her husband’s salary, she decided to start her home-based clothing business and she asked for a loan of 950 JOD to buy clothes for her business. Although it was hard to manage her dealings in a small corner of her house, she was motivated to endure the difficulties and to positively think of her family’s future and improving her business.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable and marginalized women in Jordan.
