A loan helped to purchase cattle and smaller livestock for farm expansion.

Zhanyl's story

This sweet woman is Zhanyl. She is 34 years old and is married, and together with her husband has four children. She received a secondary education, and her main contribution to the family income derives from her work as a cook in a kindergarten. Zhanyl and her family live in an area that is eminently well suited to livestock breeding. She has been farming since 2016, and her farm presently consists of four cows, three horses, and 30 sheep. The animals are kept in the vicinity of her home, which provides the conditions necessary to maintain them. They are fattened and sold as the need arises.

In order to develop her farm, Zhanyl is seeking support from Kiva in the amount of 150,000 som (KGS), to buy the cattle and smaller livestock that will increase her livestock-rearing income. The income generated by the loan will help improve her family's material well-being and living conditions.
