A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving business.

'Otolose's story

Otolose is married to a farmer with three children. They are living at her husband's house.

Currently, she runs a weaving business, where she weaves taovala only. Taovala is an article of Tongan clothing worn around the waist. She sells them to some of her relatives overseas and to local buyers.

She is only interested in weaving taovala, because it is small enough for her and takes a short time to weave.

She applies for this loan to support her business by buying efficient pandanus.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
