Clever, who is 21 years old, is a hard-working young man, who lives with his aunt Vilda, in their own home located in the native community of Kivinaki. With the love and respect that he has for his aunt, who he loves like a mother, he began three years ago farming on inherited land. It is in this way that he began to plant citrus fruits of many varieties, which he cares for with much dedication. Fruit venders constantly come to his farming land to buy his harvested products. Now he desires to venture into the planting of "achiote" on a grand scale in Puerto Bermúdez, a place where he has a small plot of land. Within a few months, he will begin to harvest his citrus plants, and he hopes to earn good prices to support his aunt and cousins. He belongs to the communal bank "flor de almendra" ["almond flower"], and this is the first loan that he has with MFP, where he is the only man. For this reason, he promises to boost the respect and responsibility in his association. Clever, anticipating the harvest to come, will begin to plant seedbeds of achiote (small nurseries, where seeds grow) with the loan that he has requested.
