Silvia Maria and her family live in the place of Los Arenales, a town of fishers. Its primary source is agriculture and artisanal and industrial fishing, where fish meal is processed.
On the beaches, Silvia Maria purchases fish, shrimp, squid, and other seafood which her customers request from her. She cleans and fillets the fish (pinchagua or sardines) to cure with lemon in jars, ready to make ceviches. She sells them every day at her house and by delivering the orders. She has a retail space facing the beach where she sells oranges, mandarins, mangos, coconuts, and other fruits on Saturdays and Sundays.
This loan is to purchase mangos, currants, ovos, shrimp, fish, lemons, disposable containers, etc.
