This is Jaime, 64 years old, a hardworking and responsible older adult. He has transmitted all his wisdom to his children, who have become independent adults with good values.
Jaime lives with his spouse, who tends the house and helps him in the work. His livelihood has always been agriculture. From childhood, he went out to the fields to help his parents. His primary activities are growing potatoes and raising livestock.
He asks for a Kiva loan to purchase an irrigation system, which he needs to give better maintenance to his crops so that they provide a greater yield with good earnings for his family's subsistence. His projection for the future is to work with certified seeds for the performance and quality of the yield.
His agricultural work has allowed him to have his house and provide his children with an education. Today, he wants to support his beloved grandchildren and to repair some parts of the house which have deteriorated due to the humidity. After this, he only wants to have a peaceful and healthy old age.
