Verónica is an enterprising and humble rural woman who lives with her parents and siblings in the neighborhood of Charco, which is south of the city of Tulcán. She has a dairy business, a trade that she learned at a young age from her parents.
Verónica became independent by choosing to continue in the same work as her parents. As a dairy farmer, she is able to produce several liters of milk each day, which she sells to a local dairy processor. Verónica is paid every two weeks, which covers the cost of feeding her animals. In addition, she has income to support her family and cover their personal needs and the cost of her siblings’ education.
Verónica is requesting a loan to buy two young dairy cows so that she can increase her biweekly earnings.
