A loan helped to start a grass-fed cattle-raising microenterprise.

Humberto's story

Humberto works in an agriculture supply store and lives in a small community of rural East Panama called La Cantera.

Following his entrepreneurial spirit and his interest in financial freedom and supporting his family, Humberto wants to start in agriculture by raising livestock. Today Humberto is applying for his first Kiva loan to start a grass-fed cattle-raising microenterprise. With the funds he is aiming to buy two calves and some supplies to start his small business.

Thank you for supporting young entrepreneurs of rural Panama who live in regions historically excluded from basic financial services.

This loan is special because:

It helps unbanked communities in rural areas gain access to financial services.
