Maria Jesus's story

María is 56 years old, a woman proud of belonging Ecuador's indigenous sector. She lives in the community of Tupigachi with her spouse and a granddaughter. Her house emanates an ambience of peace and joy.

Agricultural work has been her family's livelihood for 20 years, her experience in raising livestock allows her to feed her animals with the best fodder for the milk to be of high quality protein and fat.

María needs the financial support to purchase two cows with which she will be able to increase her milk production to improve the income with which she sustains her family. Her project for the future consists of purchasing a milking machine and improving her pastures so, in this way, to increase her business's profits even more.

All her efforts are focused on achieving various goals, such as building a better house and a vehicle to get around.
