A loan helped to pay for a large bag of raw kava to prepare and sell fresh kava juice.

Pierrina's story

Living in a village south of Efate is 47-year-old businesswoman and mother of five Pierrina. Pierrina is married and her husband is a construction worker. Three of her children attend school. She prepares and sells fresh kava juice to make a livelihood.

Pierrina started her business 3 years ago with motivation from her children. The primary goal of the business is to assist her in providing financial assistance for her family rather than relying solely on her husband's income. Her future goal is to invest in her children's education so that they can complete their studies. Her current aim is to increase her juice supply to meet her customers' requests. However, she cannot achieve her goal due to financial constraints.

She is requesting a loan to purchase a large bag of raw kava. With the business earnings she will cover her household essentials, children's educations and save for the future. Through this funding, she is inspired to grow her business and ensure a brighter future for her children.

Thank you for lending to support Pierrina!

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
