A loan helped to add stock to her business.

Agnes's story

Meet Agnes, a refugee mother to five children who all are school going and live with her in Moyo, which is in the West Nile region of Uganda.

Life may not have been a bed of roses, and she faced a lot of challenges, that might have made her give up, however she chose not to give up but instead work harder and better.

She is a farmer who grows millet, cassava, beans and sorghum. Besides this, she also has a small home stall that sells mainly food stuffs.

Her business is doing much better, and she has expanded her business though the stock she has is not as much as she would want since the demands of the customers is quite high.

The demand for food is very high though she is limited by the little stock that she has. She would like to add more stock so that she is able to sell more and pay school fees. Her dream is to build a house one day.

She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva have given her.
