A loan helped to purchase cattle and small livestock so as to expand her farm.

Gulza's story

This smiling woman's name is Gulza. She is 49 years old, married, and has three children. She has received secondary education. As a main source of income for her family she has been raising livestock since 2010. Thanks to Gulza's hard work and the help of her husband with the farm, at present Gulza has 1 cow, 47 sheep and 6.0 ha [15 acres] of arable land, where she grows beans. She has everything necessary for keeping cattle in her yard.

In order to develop her business further, Gulza is asking support from Kiva in the amount of 300,000 som (KGS) to buy cattle and small livestock so as to increase her livestock headcount. This will certainly help increase the productivity of her farm and thus the family income. Gulza hopes to achieve the desired result and create a better life for her family.
