Mbadatte Group's story

This banc villageois was set up in February 2000, and is made up of strong women who work in trade. They live in the same village and show solidarity.

Daba is a married woman aged 39 with five children, all of whom go to school. She sells fabric, jewellery and shoes. She is the representative of the group and is on the right of the photo with her hand raised.

With her loan she will buy two dozen shoes, gold-plated jewellery for 400,000 francs and quality and festive fabrics for 500,000 francs. She has over 20 years' experience and has a good sales technique that enables her to sell all of her goods. She often gives her best customers credit. She plans to use the profits to buy a plot of land.
