A loan helped to buy 2 pigs and 200 kg of feed.

Narindra's story

Narindra is 29 years old. She has a common-law partner, and they have two children together. The family rents a permanent house in a rural area. To provide for their family, Narindra and her partner are farmers, and they raise livestock.

Narindra has taken out a loan through Vahatra to acquire more usable capital. With this loan, her family will also gain access to health insurance. Narindra will buy two pigs to fatten and 200 kg of feed. She will supply the rest of the feed throughout each stage of rearing.

Narindra will sell her pigs to the butcher in the city. She has plans to build a permanent house, so she will focus on saving up her profits.
