This photograph shows Uljamol. She is 54 years old. She lives with her family in Nosiri Khusrav District. She is married and a mother of 5 children. Her children are already grown. Her husband farms and raises livestock. Uljamol sews women's clothing and has been raising cattle for 10 years.
She would like to expand her livestock raising business by growing her livestock herd. Uljamol buys cattle from the livestock market, fattens them up for 40 to 60 days, and resells them at the livestock market. Her husband helps her with this work.
She does not have enough money to buy livestock, and she has applied for a loan. This loan will help her go further and expand her small business.
