A loan helped to buy 3 bags of pearl millet, 5 bags of sugar, cans of oil and ingredients, and to save for her family's well-being.

Asseta's story

Asseta is the mother of six children, four of whom go to school. She sells pancakes and porridge in an outlying district of the town, and has been running this successful business for over 15 years.

She repaid her Kiva without difficulty, and is applying for a new loan to buy 3 bags of pearl millet, 5 bags of sugar, cans of oil and ingredients to satisfy her customers.

She plans to use her profits to reinvest in her business and save for the well-being of her family. She urges everyone to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus and wishes all Covid-19 patients a speedy recovery.

Translated from French by Kiva volunteer Gina Parsons.
