A loan helped a member to buy fresh fish wholesale, for selling retail in her neighbourhood and at the local market.

Bokk Ndeye Tilene Group's story

This women's group of mutual help was set up in 2010: most of them trade in fresh fish.

Madam Patricia, aged 45, is married and has three boys who go to school.

She buys fish in baskets at the local fishing wharf and sells it retail at the market and in her neighbourhood.

The profits from her trade are used to boost her business and cover her family expenses.

In this group: Suzanne, Pascaline, Patricia, Aminata, Ndeye Anta, Amy, Fatou
