Hi, my name is Eca and I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Before coming to the US, I studied to be a mechanic for large cars and trucks during my time as a refugee living in Burundi, a country located in East Africa. After settling in Northwest Arkansas, I got a job repairing public transit buses for Ozark Regional Transit. From there, I developed the idea to start my own auto sales and repair shop. I opened my shop in February of 2021 and I have learned so much. Every day I wake up grateful and motivated to succeed with Mossi’s Garage and Auto Sales. I am doing it for myself and my sons. I want them to grow up and see their father succeed in owning a small business and provide a comfortable and safe life for them. I am the owner of Mossi’s Garage & Auto Sales in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My business is much more than a job. I believe a business must serve their community. I work to provide flexibility in my services because I know everyone has a different situation. It's important to me that people know their vehicle is safe, even if that means teaching them to do repairs for themselves.
I am a proud father of two boys. When I sell a car, it is significant-even for a new driver who might not purchase something expensive. I always give the same care and attention to my repairs and inspections because I believe your work is a reflection of your character. When I repair someone’s vehicle I am not just looking to make money, their safety is in my hands. I also know what it is like to work your hardest and when your vehicle has an issue, that kind of expense can really take a toll on you. When someone trusts me with their hard-earned money to repair their vehicle, I have a responsibility to provide the highest quality repair and be as helpful to each customer as I can be.
While used car dealers are often seen as doing just the "bare minimum" to get someone to purchase their vehicles, I feel a responsibility to stand behind my work and take pride in the quality I provide.

Potential for currency exchange loss is noted on every loan profile under the loan details:
"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
"Partial" means that the Lending Partner has opted to cover losses only up to 10%. If the U.S. dollar appreciates more than 10% against the local currency, those losses will be passed onto lenders.
"No" means that the Lending Partner is not covering any currency losses and all losses will be passed onto lenders.
"N/A" means the Lending Partner disburses loans to borrowers in USD so their loans are not subject to any currency fluctuation.
Do Kiva borrowers pay any interest on their loans?
Our partners collect interest from borrowers because there are many operational expenses associated with microfinance in developing markets, especially in rural areas. Many of Kiva's Lending Partners also provide additional services alongside their loan products such as business training, financial literacy lessons, or health services.
Kiva will not partner with an organization that charges unreasonable interest rates, and we require Lending Partners to fully disclose their rates. In addition, we only partner with microfinance institutions and organizations that have a social mission to serve the poor, unbanked, and underserved.
