Gpf Sopp Serigne Babacar Sy Ndoulo 5 Group's story

This group has existed since April, 2018. Its members are women who live in the same locality and share strong family ties and solidarity. They specialize in raising livestock.

Codou, the woman whose hand is raised in the photo, is the group's representative. She is married and has 9 children, 8 of whom are boys. She fattens and resells sheep and owns a dibiterie [a small eatery that sells grilled meat]. She sources her sheep from nearby markets and resells them in her local market.

With her previous loan, Codou has been able to sustain her business. In addition, the income from her business will allow her to save money to further strengthen her business and provide for her family's needs.

In this group: Codou, Diouma, Coumba, Diouma, Adama, Diouma
