A loan helped to buy more milk, sugar, pepper, salt, rice, and other items to sell.

Yatta's story

Yatta is 26 years old and from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with two kids. Both of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She attended school up to ninth grade.

She is a hardworking businesswoman who sells milk, sugar, pepper, salt, rice, and other items. She learned how to sell from her mother. She has been in this line of business for 10 years and sells Monday through to Saturday. Yatta likes her business because it makes her an independent woman.

She is requesting this loan to buy more milk, sugar, pepper, salt, rice, and other items to sell in order to repay her loan instalments. Her dream for the future is to buy land. Yatta says thanks for your support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
