Laura Beatriz is 72 years old, some time ago her spouse passed away, and from this relationship she has two children, both adults. They live in San Placido, in the canton of Portoviejo, a place of lovely rural landscapes and hardworking people who primarily work in agriculture and raising animals.
She is a hardworking woman who, with her family, seeks the way to earn an honest living. For them, life in the countryside is very difficult as they do not have basic services which help them improve their life. But, she is happy as, with the help of the loans, she is managing to get ahead.
She and her children work in agriculture. She has some hectares of cacao, plantain, coffee, banana, orange, and other crops. She hopes to improve the crops genetically and, so, to improve the quality of her yield. She uses natural irrigation systems as well as organic fertilizers and insecticides, with which she tries to protect he environment and have very good harvests.
This loan is to purchase organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve her yield.
