Mary, 49, is a noble, very passive woman. She lives in her own house with her husband, Wilmer, 54, and their three adult, independent children. For the last ten years this hard working woman has been selling groceries; her husband is an upholsterer, a business he carries out in another part of the house.
In her store she sells primarily soft drinks, cookies, and packaged goods. Her store is preferred by young athletes in her neighborhood and by customers coming to her husband’s upholstery shop. Mary thus works in close cooperation with her spouse since she also helps him tend to the public. Working together this way they have managed to educate their children who are now independent and are building their house. Because of this she has proposed in future to increase and expand her business quite a bit.
This is her 16th loan with MFP and she commits to pay all her installments on time so that together with her fellow group members they will continue working and accessing future loans that will allow them to make progress. If the requested loan were to be granted, she will buy such things like dairy products, soft drinks and beer. In addition, she will buy leather, tacks and foam for her husband’s upholstery shop.
