A loan helped to purchase more dried fish and drinks to sell.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 35 years old. She is a widow with 3 children. She attended school up to 11th grade. She mainly sells dried fish and drinks. She learned how to sell from her mother and got her start up with some financial help from her late husband.

She has been managing her sales for 5 years and has no problem with her sales. She uses a car or kehkeh to transport supplies to her business site and sells Monday through Saturday. Victoria asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner. The loan will be used to purchase more dried fish and drinks to sell.

Her dream for the future is to become an international business woman. She is very grateful to BRAC and Kiva for their support. Victoria wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
