A loan helped to purchase melloco [tuberous root vegetable] and potato seeds and agricultural supplies.

Erika Marisol's story

She is Erika, an 18-year-old girl who has just finished high school. She lives in the La Virgen commune. She resides with her father and brothers. The family's livelihood is agriculture. Erika has been farming with her father for 7 years. She grows melloco [a tuberous root vegetable] and potatoes, which are native products of the town.

Erika seeks to obtain her first loan to increase the planting of products and thus generate greater profitability from her agricultural work. She wants to become a wholesale farmer and be able to bring her products directly to the market.

This humble girl hopes to be able to count on financing for many years since that way she will be able to achieve the goals she has set for herself.
