Elver is 30 years old and from Kimbiri district. He is a very cheerful and hard-working young man. He lives with 25 year-old Raquel and together they have two children: 3 year-old Rabí and 1 year-old Bill. They live in their own home in Kimbiri Alto community.
Elver is a very hard-working man who puts a lot of care into farming his land. Elver is a farmer and he has 6 hectares of land where he grows coffee, coca leaf, cacao and barbasco. These are all plants which are native to the jungle region of the Apurimac Valley. Elver has been working for 10 years and during harvest time he has the support of laborers. In this way, he harvests his crops quickly and sells them to traders who pay him very well for each kilogram of produce that he sells.
Elver considers that the most difficult part of his work is transporting his products from the farm to the town of San Francisco which is where they offer him the best prices for his cacao beans, coffee and coca leaf. However, right now he is giving priority to buying more land so that he can sow more crops and expand his production in order to provide his family with good financial stability.
This is Elver's first loan with MFP. He feels that this support will help him a lot in making progress in his work and he is ready to make his loan repayments according to schedule. He is grateful to Prisma for offering him the loan. He will use the 2,500 Peruvian soles he has requested to buy cacao and coffee seeds.
