A loan helped to purchase more animals to increase her sales.

Ishrat's story

Financial constraints along with the want for a better life and good quality education for her 3 children are only a few but valuable factors that encouraged her to start a business selling animals by taking a loan from the Kashf Foundation.

Ishrat is 59 years old and a widow. She buys animals (baby goats & calves) at low prices, brings them up, and then sells them in the market at higher prices. She makes enough through her business to contribute to the family income. Ishrat also sells milk to generate an extra amount of income.

Ishrat needs to improve her business to bear her household expenses. For this reason, she contacted the Kashf Foundation and applied for a loan of 170,000 PKR to purchase more animals to increase her sales. She is very experienced and has good contacts in the market. With this loan, she will definitely expand her business and income level.
