A loan helped to purchase natural fertilizers that will enhance the growth of her crops.

Mayra's story

Mayra is a skillful farmer from Balboa, Cauca, with almost 20 years of experience. She currently owns a one-hectare farm gifted to her by her father, where she has over 200 lemon trees distributed in different stages of growth. Mayra harvests her crops monthly, collecting around 30 sacks of lemons. She fumigates with pesticides that she prepares herself, ensuring the health and sustainability of her trees.

Mayra is a single mother who lives with her son in her mother's house. Her son attends the local school while her mother supports her in managing the crops.

A loan of $2,429,100 COP allows Mayra to purchase natural fertilizers. This investment will nourish her crops, promote healthier growth and higher yields, improving the sustainability and well-being of her produce.
