Rosa is a member of the "Las Kantutitas de Camicachi II” community bank which is located in Ilave district, in El Collao province, in Puno department. She is 45 years old, married, and has 2 children. She only completed her elementary education.
This lady has been working with Movimiento Manuela Ramos for one and a half years. Her first loan was for 300 Peruvian soles and she invested that money in her business selling embroideries made on baize (a craft fabric). She currently makes wooden furniture together with her husband. She will use this loan to buy fifteen units of wood for making furniture such as wardrobes, tables, chairs, etc. She will also buy wool for her knitting. Rosa tells us that she and her husband also work on their farm and have animals such as sheep and cows. She is helped by her children.
Rosa's dream is to own a well-equipped furniture-making business. What she likes about her community bank are the meetings and the ease of the loan.
