We love providing fresh nutritious food for our community, but there are times when we need to lean on our community for assistance in order to make that happen. We are a regenerative, no-till, organic farm, that provides fresh, nutritious produce to our local community. Our business is located just outside of Ann Arbor on the corner of Warren and Nixon Rd, where we have a self-serve farm stand and distribute to our CSA members. We started this business at the beginning of 2020 to try out a more collaborative model of farming that didn't place the whole burden of farm ownership anyone- or two-people's shoulders.
What is the purpose of this loan?
We are applying for this loan to fund the building of an additional cold storage space, both to increase capacity, and as a more efficient and accessible space for palleted goods. This cooler will allow us to grow and store more food to be able to feed our community for more of the winter than we currently have the capacity for. It will also reduce shrinkage by providing more space with the appropriate storage conditions, rather than having to store things in a barn that is not insulated or climate stable.

We offer some Lending Partners the option to protect themselves against currency fluctuations by choosing to pass on these losses to Kiva lenders. By bearing this risk, lenders protect the partner and its borrowers from catastrophic currency devaluations and contribute to the sustainability of their operations.

"Yes" means the Lending Partner will cover any currency loss. Lenders will not bear losses due to currency fluctuation
