Lazos De Amistad La Granja Group's story

From Matagalpa, Nicaragua, meet the Lazos de Amistad La Granja group. It is composed of 8 members who are organized and hardworking people. The predominant businesses are: food sales, small shop, clothing sales, and sales of nacatamales (Nicaraguan tamales).

Jesica del Rosario (seen in the patterned blue shirt, blue jeans, black athletic shoes) is 31 years old, married, and has 2 sons, only one of whom is a student. Her partner works and 4 people live in her house. Her business is selling nacatamales and a small shop which she has had for 4 years. What she likes about her business is having her own income. The challenge she has faced with her business is when clients do not pay on the agreed date. She will invest the loan in the purchase of 10 pounds of meat, 1 table, 4 chairs, 12 plates, 12 spoons, lettuce, and sodas. Her hopes and dreams for the future are to expand her businesses. She offers advice for women to not be afraid of starting their own business. There are challenges and obstacles along the way, but with effort you can get ahead. She thanks Pro Mujer for the opportunity provided to women with the loans.

Give your support toward her progress!
