A loan helped a member to maintain his cacao crop and apply compost.

Sanamarca Group's story

The Sanamarca group is in its 10th lending cycle and is composed of 14 members. Shown in the photograph are the members of the directive board: president, treasurer, and secretary. They are happy to continue as a team and are working for a better future.

Pedro, 42 years old, lives with his partner who helps him greatly. He is a responsible man in his work. He has had his business as a cacao farmer for 10 years. This is why his greatest challenge is having his own business. At the same time, his big dream is to be renowned. In addition to this business, his other source of income is corn and cassava farming.

He will use the Kiva loan to invest in his cacao farms. He wants to perform maintenance and apply compost, and with the extra earnings buy his own tools for work.

In this group: Inosenta , Judith , Jose Antonio, Sabina , Gregoria , Jesusa , Pedro , Mery , Rut Margot, Jhony , Gilmar , Ninfa , Edith , Nilton
