A loan helped to buy more ingredients that will be used to prepare cooked food to sell.

Roseline's story

This is 32-year-old Roseline, from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with three children; they are schooling.

Roseline runs a business where she prepares cooked food to sell. Since four years ago, she has been managing her sales. She started the business with her own savings. She works six days a week and uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

Roseline applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Lending Partner. With this loan, she will buy more ingredients that will be used to prepare cooked food to sell to her good clients.

Her dream for the future is to own a bigger business. She wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
