Hương's story

At 45 years old, Mrs. Hương stands as a pillar of her family in the rural district of Nga Son. With a husband working as a construction worker and two children, one already grown and the other, 17 years old, pursuing education, she navigates the challenges of providing for her family in a modest setting.

She supplements their income by working on nearby farms. Despite their combined efforts, their earnings remain meagher. Compounding their struggles is the dilapidated state of their household sanitation facilities, which have long been neglected, posing health risks to the family.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, she takes matters into her own hands. She applies for this first loan from Thanh Hoa MFI to procure construction materials and hire labourers to rebuild their sanitary facilities.
