A loan helped to buy more potato greens to sell.

Mamie's story

This is 40-year-old Mamie from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with 2 kids; both are schooling. Mamie is a hardworking business woman who sells potato greens. She learned how to sell from her mother and has been operating her sales for ten years. She sells Monday through Saturday and uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. Mamie applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner. With this loan, she will buy more potato greens to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it gives her profits. Mamie is highly grateful for the financial support rendered.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
