A loan helped to buy a variety of concentrated feed for pigs.

Eda Azucena's story

She lives in the village of El Boquerón with her family. She is a tenacious woman who has gotten ahead with the business activity that she engages in day to day.

She has devoted herself to raising pigs for over 22 years. She has five breeding pigs, and one Pietrains boar. She has 25 pigs to fatten. Some are little, and the others are between 80 and 100 pounds. She sells piglets that are 45 days old. She also butchers and fattens every week in order to sell them.

She is requesting the loan to buy concentrated feed for pregnant pigs, concentrated feed for the start, and concentrated feed to fatten. This way she will provide them with the food for each stage in order to increase weight and to be able to sell them for a better price.

She is happy about the kindness and the good treatment she received from Prisma and Kiva. She is very grateful for the support received.

Her dream is to get ahead and to manage to get good earnings so that her family lacks for nothing.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
