A loan helped to buy more pepper, red oil and other food items to sell.

Amelia's story

Amelia is 54 years old, from Liberia. She is married and has 6 children, two of whom are still in school.

Amelia is a high school graduate. She is a hardworking business woman who sells pepper, red oil and other food items. She started the business with her own savings. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site and works six days a week.

To maintain her sales, Amelia applied for a loan to buy more pepper, red oil and other food items to sell, in order to meet customer demand. She wants to continue her children education in the future. Amelia wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
