Yanapacuy Group's story

The group “Yanapacuy” is in its first loan cycle and has eight members. The photo only shows those members who make up the Board of Directors: the president, treasurer, and secretary. They are pleased to continue working as a team so that they can achieve a better future.

Olga is 29 years old, lives with her partner, and has an eight-year-old child. She considers herself to be a hardworking woman. For the past 10 years, she has been cultivating and producing cacao. Her greatest challenge is protecting her crops from pests and fungus. At the same time, her greatest dream is to improve the quality of her crops. In addition to this business, Olga earns extra income by working as a day laborer.

She will use her Kiva loan to buy compost and pay for the maintenance of her parcel of cacao trees.
