A loan helped to buy dairy cows.

Jamal's story

The sweet Jamal is grateful to Kiva and all the lenders for the financing she received earlier. Now she has decided to apply for financing again, in hopes that this too will go well.

Jamal is 59 years old, is married, and has five children. She received a secondary education, and is kind and outgoing by nature. She has been raising livestock and growing crops for 41 years, as her main contribution to the family income. Thanks to her hard work, her farm presently comprises eight cows, 20 sheep, and a horse.

In order to develop her business further, Jamal has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 160,000 som (KGS), to buy dairy cows. Her goal in this is to increase her organic milk sales. The income generated by the loan will help improve her family's material situation and expand the farm.
