A loan helped a member to stock up on spices, fretins and corn, which will boost her initial capital.

Mamba Cityra Group's story

Ms Pascaline is a Hekima MFI client and chairwoman of the "MAMBA CITYRA" village group. She is married, aged 41 and the mother of 8 children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a shopkeeper.

She is a food seller and started this business since 2013 with start-up funds received from her husband. She later involved the Hekima program to support her business, during which she gradually evolved.

With this new loan, she will be sourcing spices, fretins and corn, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge for her business is the lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue studying, and for her to develop her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non-monetizable business owners in this context of global crisis linked to Covid-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group because of Covid-19 in respect of social distancing measures.

In this group: Pascaline, Mwangaza, Saudi, Jolie, Getu, Alphonsine, Francine, Safi
