A loan helped to buy new clothes for her son to sell.

Nou's story

Nou Y. is 62 and the mother of one single kid. Nou Y. is a local farmer who has been planting a variety of crops since 1981. She has no life partner in her husband as he died of senility. She also relies on income from her son’s work. He sells bread. He normally orders a large amount of bread at a reasonable cost and then sells his product to his regular clients when they make an order. Her son makes an income from this business of around $10 a day to help support Nou Y. with her daily expenses. Recently, he has planned to buy new clothes for resale in order to make extra income in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia. This is the reason that Nou Y. has requested a loan of $1,200 from Kiva.
