A loan helped to purchase materials that will allow her to build a coffee processing shed.

Gilma's story

Gilma is a skillful farmer from Buenos Aires, Cauca, who has been harvesting for more than 20 years. She manages a three-and-a-half-hectare plot of land where she caters to an impressive 16,500 coffee plants distributed along with 150 plantain trees that provide shade and protection to her coffee bushes. Gilma hires the help of five farmers from her community during harvest seasons and processes the coffee herself.

Gilma lives with her husband and three of her four children in a house they purchased a few years ago. Her husband actively supports in managing the crops and processing the coffee.

A loan of 5,379,944 COP empowers Gilma to acquire materials that will establish a coffee processing shed. With this space she will optimize her artesian coffee production process, contributing to increased efficiency and product quality.
