A loan helped to buy few bales of fresh kava roots, a steel pounder and packaging supplies.

Losalini's story

In Fiji, kava is used during many occasions such as funerals, birthdays, weddings, traditional functions or even after a long day of work. Losalini has been a fish vendor in Vatudamu for a few months and has opted to begin selling Kava to her customers.

She recognizes this opportunity as a wise investment and is now in need of a loan to carry this venture out. With a loan, Losalini plans to buy few bales of fresh kava roots, a steel pounder and packaging supplies. She is excited to be part of the kava industry as she has seen many others benefit from its demand.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
