Hawawu's story

Hawawu is a hardworking woman in the community called Chapuri in the Upper West Region of Ghana. She has been farming for the past 20 years.

Her farming activities have been her main source of survival for the past years and she is faced with challenges such as easy access to market. Jahara faces difficulty reaching distant markets to sell her farm produce or acquire necessary resources, which can limit her economic opportunities.

She needs finances to purchase a tricycle. This will help her transport larger quantities of produce and agricultural inputs compared to walking or using traditional methods, thereby increasing productivity.
