Lorenzo's story

Lorenzo is a senior cultivator based in Acevedo, Huila, who began his farming journey more than 50 years ago. He owns a two-hectare farm acquired over 30 years ago where he harvests around 8,000 coffee plants as well as vegetable and fruit crops. Lorenzo processes his coffee using a handmade crusher and a greenhouse. He employs five people to assist in various processes.

Lorenzo lives with his wife and two of his six children in a house he bought a few kilometers from his farm. His family contributes to the overall success of his agricultural projects.

A loan of $2,700,689 COP allows Lorenzo to purchase a stationary irrigation system. This tool will optimize water distribution, ensuring the consistent growth and health of his crops and ultimately improving the efficiency of his yields.
