A loan helped to add grocery stock in bulk for his business.

Epuk's story

Epuk is a young Sudanese refugee entrepreneur living in one of Kenya’s refugee camps. He arrived in Kenya in 2004 and soon after established his grocery store to provide himself with a source of income. The store continues to experience steady growth over time. It exhibits signs of further growth as it is strategically located and the products are relatively cheaper in comparison to the rest of the businesses around the camp.

Epuk benefited from an initial loan which he used to expand his business’ operations. The growth has seen the business accommodate one employee who helps in the daily operations. He is seeking subsequent financing with Inkomoko to allow him to add grocery stock in bulk for the business. This will ensure he keeps providing the community around with more consumption options as well as to keep expanding his business operations.
