A loan helped to pay for bales of second-hand clothing, which she will sell.

Amele's story

Thirty-five-year-old Amele is married and a mother of three children, ages 8, 6 and 2. She lives with her husband and their children in an urban location, which is an 11-minute journey to town. Her husband is employed, and two of her children attend school. She currently makes a living by operating a second-hand store.

She started her business one year ago with the aim of meeting her basic household necessities. Her dream is to sustain her business and buy land for her business to operate on.

Her current plan is to purchase bales of second-hand clothing to sell in her shop. However, she is financially restrained and unable to carry out her plan.

She is requesting a loan to pay for bales of second-hand clothing, which she will sell. With the earned income, she will pay for her household necessities, pay for her children's school expenses and invest in her future.

Amele is a new member of SPBD, and this is her first loan cycle. Through this loan, she is motivated to grow her business and provide a better future for her children.
