Idd's story

Idd is a farmer aged 47 years. He is married and has 3 children, 2 of whom are school-going. His spouse is a businesswoman who engages in the selling of clothes. He is a very hardworking commercial farmer who grows paddy on his 2 acres of land located at an irrigation scheme. He has been doing paddy farming for more than 15 years. Through paddy farming, Idd has been able to meet most of the basic requirements of life including educating his children and buying his home.

This is the second time Idd is seeking a loan from Kiva to buy farm inputs to enhance crop productivity and also income from the crop produce. Last year he benefited from the Kiva loan and he paid back on time. After earning a profit from selling this year's produce, he plans to pay school fees for his children and buy health insurance for his family.
